Tujikuze supports artisans in local communities by building skilled capacity and enabling trade. With relevant skills and dignified work, the people in our network of communities are able to independently provide for themselves and others. Tujikuze promotes the use of low-impact production processes & materials by partnering with suppliers who focus on locally sourced materials, natural fibres, and upcycled or diverted materials. Our work cuts down on future environmental and social damage, and contributes to transforming the global fashion value chain through circularity.
Our work cuts down on future environmental and social damage, and contributes to transforming the global fashion value chain through circularity. Tujikuze supports the development of our artisans’ local communities by connecting them to dignified work and providing the skills training they need to do that work excellently.
Artisans and local communities, especially women & youth, benefit from direct engagement with designers and brands. We prioritise fair wages, safe working conditions, and an ethical business model, and by coming together, we can reach more people and change more communities faster than any of us could alone.

ESG Due diligence
We produce a comprehensive Order Based Impact Assessment Report for each production order delivered, carefully measuring impact on the environment and communities, and transparently accounting for each part of the production process. These reports are produced with the guidance of the Ethical Fashion Initiative team.
The Impact Assessment evaluates the impact of each order on key social, environmental and governance metrics. Among the items reported on are, working hours, jobs generated and the beneficiaries, contribution to human development, the impact on environment, and the general compliance with the international guiding principles and labour laws.
The report also includes qualitative impact such as the social cohesion and wellbeing, respect and support to community value systems and local livelihood strategies as well as testimonials. All Tujikuze Order Based Impact Assessment reports are published on the Ethical Fashion Initiative’s website.
